Our instructors have helped many passengers experience the thrill of a lifetime. Our team boasts 115 years of collective experience, so you know you are in safe hands.

Meet your Hang Gliding Instructors

Since 1987 HangglideOz has introduced more than seven thousand students and tandem passengers to the sport of hangliding, operating from the Stanwell Park and Wollongong sites. We are Australia's most experienced and professional instructional and tandem hanggliding flight centre, and are open seven days a week - weather permitting.

In his own words: After a successful rugby league career for Wests, Canterbury, Cronulla and St George, I began searching for a new sport. An avid surfer, hang gliding to me was surfing the skies! Hang gliding is the most natural feeling in the world and I have been privileged to share the feeling of free flight with over 3,000 passengers and students.

In his own words: I enjoy all forms of hang gliding from relaxed coastal flying to challenging new and uncharted coastal cross-country areas. My passion is cross country racing and flying thermals. When clients join me I use our time to share my love of hang gliding and know they leave knowing how it feels to fly.

In his own words: I enjoy the challenges of flying coastal sites and have flown more than 30 sites from Sydney's northern beaches down to Merrimbula. My first passion was sailing, and was lucky enough to complete in Sydney to Hobart yacht races. Having worked many different jobs, there is nothing better than taking passengers on their first tandem hang gliding experience. Hard to beat that for a job! Chris is currently traveling around Australia and will join the team at Hangglideoz shortly.
